Tonight we’re going to take on two subjects you’re not supposed to talk about in polite conversation – religion and politics. Joining us on the political side will be Ellen Malcolm, president of EMILY’s List – the nation’s largest grassroots political network. We’re going to get her perspective on the upcoming election from the ground up.
Episcopal Bishop Gene Robinson of New Hampshire will be on the program to talk about faith and fairness issues – including his elevation as the first openly gay bishop in the Episcopal Church. Joining him will be Rev. Susan Russell, president of the gay Episcopal group Integrity.
We’re also going to take a look at how the GLBT community in New Orleans is rebuilding one year after Hurricane Katrina and it’s back to school time so we’re going to talk with some openly gay student leaders about campus climate for GLBT students. All that and more tonight on The Agenda from 6 to 8 p.m. Eastern only on XM Satellite Radio channel 200.
