The Agenda is in full holiday mode this week preparing our “Best Of” show for next week and taking stock of the past year. With that in mind, Christopher Radko joined us last night to talk about his holiday ornaments that have become must-haves for collectors worldwide. Famed party planner Bryan Rafanelli joined us by phone from Miami, where he was planning Harry Connick Jr.’s New Year’s Eve bash. Rafanelli shared some of his tricks of the trade for planning a great party any time of year.
But it wasn’t all holiday talk last night. Ilene Chaiken — creator and executive producer of The L Word— joined us to talk about the new season premiering in January and a new online social networking site for women called OurChart.com. Listen to segment one and two.
It wouldn’t be an episode of The Agenda without a healthy dose of politics so we started out by paying tribute to the late Rep. Gerry Studds. Mary brought us this report from his memorial service last week in Boston. Sylvia Larsen, the New Hampshire Senate president-elect, also joined us to talk about how the tide was turned for fairness in the Granite State.
Finally, syndicated columnist and Brookings Institution Senior Fellow E.J. Dionne shared his insights in Point of View. Listen to the fascinating conversation here
