We kicked off this week’s edition of The Agenda with Joe Solmonese with a look to the Golden State, where an even more pro-GLBT Legislature was sworn into office. Seth Kilbourn, political director of the group Equality California, joined us to talk about the prospects for a marriage equality bill there.
Legendary comedian Paula Poundstone joined us in Cup of Joe and shared some hilarious stories about her family and her new book, “There’s Nothing in This Book That I Meant to Say.”
Recently I sat down with acclaimed Israeli recording artist Ivri Lider and talked about being an openly gay music icon. Listen to the interview and highlights of his music here.
Bringing his insight into the online GLBT community, Kenny Hill of AOL joined us in-studio. Hill is the managing editor of AOL Gay & Lesbian and writes the blog “Worth Repeating.” Hear Kenny’s insights here in parts one and two.
Corporate America has become an unlikely hero in the struggle for GLBT civil rights — instituting non-discrimination policies and domestic partner benefits in droves. Marc Gunther, senior writer for Fortune, was our guest to talk about his month-long research into this phenomenon. Listen to the segment here.
In October the openly gay twins that are the pop-rock group Nemesis joined us on The Agenda. We re-aired the interview this week to mark the season finale of their show “Jacob & Joshua: Nemesis Rising” on Logo. The finale features the guys performing at the Human Rights Campaign’s National Dinner.
