We were back with a great live show last night on The Agenda with Joe Solmonese after a little Memorial Day break. To start off the show we brought our listeners a clip of Sunday’s Democratic debate with the candidates addressing gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender issues.

Turning to business, the co-founders of the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce joined us in-studio. Justin Nelson and Chance Mitchell are working from the inside out to create welcoming environments for GLBT entrepreneurs and employees. They talked about their annual conference that just wrapped up this weekend, a new guide put out with HRC on small businesses and the future for GLBT-friendly corporate America. Hear them in parts one and two.

Our community is obviously a diverse one, so we thought it was important to have a 30,000-foot conversation about the many facets of GLBT people and our allies. Joe and co-host Mary Breslauer welcomed HRC’s new chief diversity officer, Cuc Vu, into the studio for a wide-ranging conversation about what makes us all different and what binds us together.

The intersection of politics and religion is one of our favorite topics on The Agenda and so last night we talked to Mitchell Gold, founder of Faith in America. Gold made a name for himself in the furniture business and is now focusing on ending religious-based bigotry. We chatted about the work of his organization and their provocative new ad campaign that premiered this week. Listen to this great conversation.

Finally, we ended on a lighter note with comedian Alec Mapa. He’s everywhere from “Desperate Housewives” to the HRC dinner circuit and he joined us from San Francisco to dish about current events, Atlantis Cruises and some upcoming projects. Listen to this segment with one of the funniest gay comedians in the business.
