With just 100 days to go before November’s election, we had a great show focusing on some of the politics of the moment as well as some lighter topics last night on The Agenda with Joe Solmonese.

We started out the show with Rep. Robert Wexler. He’s served his South Florida district for 12 years in Congress and talks about his political life in the new book, “Fire Breathing Liberal.” Download or listen:

Then we’ll took an in-depth look at Sen. John McCain through the eyes of his biographer Paul Alexander. Alexander has written extensively on McCain for Rolling Stone and compiles that reporting in his new book “Man of the People: The Life of John McCain.” Download parts one and two or listen:

How will women factor in to the race for the White House this year? To answer that question we were be joined by Page Gardner, the executive director of Women’s Voices. Women Vote. Her organization recently released a poll showing a 32 point advantage for Sen. Obama among unmarried women. Download or listen:

On the lighter side, fall is closer than we’d like to believe and we looked at the upcoming television season with returning guest Damien Holbrook of TV Guide. How will the networks treat GLBT characters and storylines this year? What new shows do we have to look forward to? Download parts one and two or listen:

Finally we looked at a new film with director Dan Hunt. He has a new documentary showing on Logo called “Bear Run” that explores the lives of gay men who self identify as bears and the subculture that has grown into a global community. Download or listen:
