In our first live show after the Thanksgiving holiday, we served up a real mix of the serious, and the not-so. One fascinating guest was Sunil Pant, the first openly gay member of the Nepal Parliament. In town for an International conference for LGBT leaders, Pant stopped by our HRC media center. Listen or download here.

We were also thrilled to talk, once again, to crime novelist Patricia Cornwell. More open about her sexuality to the British press than the American press, the release of her latest book, Scarpetta, has prompted Cornwell to talk more about her life in this latest book tour. Listen to or download parts one and two.

Jennifer Senior has become one of our favorite writers. In a recent New York Magazine piece still viewable at nymag.com, Jennifer took on the question of city living with an eye toward whether that makes us more or less lonely. Take a listen here.

Finally, we welcomed LA-based writer and editor Michele Kort. She’s taken on some great lesbian-centric subjects like bisexual singer songwriter Laura Nyro, the Dinah Shore golf classic and the story of Chastity Bono. What caught our eye was her Nyro book and ongoing blog. Listen in here.
